The Annual Cycle Race for Boys 2026 was organized successfully today by the college with great enthusiasm and participation from students. The event commenced from Nehru Park and culminated at the historic Shalimar Garden amidst a spirit of sportsmanship, fitness, and youth engagement.
The race was formally flagged off by the worthy SSP Srinagar City, Jenab Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, IPS, in the august presence of the worthy Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Masood Ahmad Malik, along with faculty members, officials, and students.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Srinagar City Jenab Aijaz Ahmad Bhat emphasized the growing menace of drug abuse among the younger generation and highlighted the importance of organizing such constructive activities for students. He remarked that sports and physical activities play a vital role in channelizing the energy of youth in a positive direction and contribute significantly towards their holistic development. He appreciated the initiative taken by the college administration in promoting fitness, discipline, and healthy living among students.
The worthy Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Masood Ahmad Malik, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students and reiterated the institution’s commitment towards promoting co-curricular and sports activities on campus. He emphasized that physical activities are essential for the overall growth and well-being of students and encouraged them to minimize excessive screen time and actively participate in sports and outdoor events.
The event witnessed active participation from a large number of students who displayed remarkable energy, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the race. Adequate security and traffic arrangements were made with the support of Srinagar Traffic Police to ensure the smooth conduct of the programme.
The college administration expressed gratitude to the District Administration and Traffic Police Srinagar for their cooperation and support in making the event successful. Appreciation was also extended to the organizing committee, staff members, volunteers, and students whose collective efforts ensured the successful completion of the Annual Cycle Race for Boys 2026.
