The program aimed to sensitize students and staff about the harmful effects of substance abuse and to reinforce the collective responsibility of building a drug-free society. A large number of students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff participated with great enthusiasm and discipline.
After the conclusion of the weekly assembly, the gathering was addressed briefly, highlighting the alarming rise in drug abuse and its detrimental impact on individuals, families, and society at large. Emphasis was laid on the role of educational institutions in fostering awareness, prevention, and positive behavioral change among youth.
The pledge was then administered in a solemn manner by Prof Riyaz Ahmed with all participants raising their hands and affirming their commitment to abstain from drugs and to actively contribute towards spreading awareness about the ill effects of substance abuse. The participants pledged to support the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat (Drug-Free India) and to act as responsible citizens in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
The presence and guidance of the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Masood Ahmed Malik, added significance to the occasion. His leadership and encouragement inspired the participants to take the pledge seriously and uphold its spirit beyond the campus.
The event concluded on a positive note, with a renewed sense of responsibility among the participants to act as ambassadors of change and to work collectively towards eradicating drug abuse from society.
