Report on Creating Safe Campuses: Addressing Sexual Harassment in Educational Institutions

The Internal Complaints Committee (IIC) of the college organized an awareness programme for the staff today in the Conference Hall. The session, titled “Creating Safe Campuses: Addressing Sexual Harassment in Educational Institutions”, aimed to sensitize faculty and staff about fostering a safe and inclusive environment within academic institutions.



Prof. Masood Ahmad Malik, Principal of the college, emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring campuses remain free from harassmentProf. FoUzia, Convenor of the POSH Committee, highlighted the legal and institutional frameworks available to safeguard staff and students. Prof. Ruhul Simnanai spoke on the need for continuous dialogue and awareness to strengthen trust and safety in educational spaces.The programme reaffirmed the college’s commitment to upholding dignity, respect, and equality, while encouraging staff to actively contribute to building a secure and supportive campus culture.
