ONE DAY SEMINAR ON NASHA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAN Theme: “Why Dreams and Drugs Can’t Coexist”

A one-day seminar on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was successfully organized by the NSS Wing of the college in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Police Department on 25 April 2026. The seminar was conducted under the compelling theme, “Why Dreams and Drugs Can’t Coexist,” aiming to spread awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to inspire them towards a healthy, goal-oriented life.



A one-day seminar on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was successfully organized by the NSS Wing of the college in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Police Department on 25 April 2026. The seminar was conducted under the compelling theme, “Why Dreams and Drugs Can’t Coexist,” aiming to spread awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to inspire them towards a healthy, goal-oriented life.

The programme commenced with a formal welcome of the dignitaries and participants by Prof Riyaz Ahmad Andrabi. The keynote address was delivered by the Worthy Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Masood Ahmed Malik, who emphasized the crucial role of youth in building a drug-free society. He highlighted how substance abuse destroys aspirations and urged students to remain focused on their dreams and responsibilities.

The seminar was further enriched by the presence of distinguished guest speakers, including Mr. Showkat Rafi, SP North Srinagar, and Mr. Junaid Wali, SDPO M.R. Gunj. Both speakers delivered insightful talks, shedding light on the growing menace of drug abuse, its legal implications, and the collective responsibility of society in combating this issue. They encouraged students to stay vigilant, make informed choices, and contribute actively to the mission of a drug-free India.

Students of the college also participated enthusiastically by sharing their views, experiences, and perspectives on the topic. Their contributions reflected awareness, sensitivity, and a strong commitment to the cause.

To acknowledge and motivate student participation, certificates, medals, and cash prizes were distributed among the students. As a gesture of appreciation, souvenirs were presented by the Worthy Principal to the distinguished guests, SP North Srinagar and SDPO M.R. Gunj.

The seminar concluded on a formal note with a heartfelt vote of thanks presented by Prof. Mohd Zubair Ud Din, who expressed gratitude to the guests, organizers, and participants for making the event meaningful and impactful.

Overall, the seminar proved to be highly informative and inspiring, reinforcing the message that a drug-free life is essential for achieving one’s dreams and building a prosperous society.
